Looking to Buy

NHSKC can help you to become a fiscally responsible homeowner

Buying a home is the most expensive purchase most people will ever make, so it's important to make the right decisions. NHSKC offers a HUD-approved homeownership education program for potential homebuyers.

The participants receive helpful information about the advantages and responsibilities of homeownership. This program promotes preparation by teaching the steps in the home-buying process and focuses on the details to help you avoid costly mistakes. The program is sponsored by some of the area's largest and most respected lending institutions.

NHSKC’s Homeownership Education Program is delivered by homeowner education specialists through classroom workshops and one-to-one counseling sessions. Homeownership education sessions are offered each month. In the one-to-one mortgage planning session, the specialist will evaluate your credit history, help you determine how much house you can afford based on income, and review your family's expenses.
